Sheffield Steelers

Steelers flew out on Thursday, 11/03/10 to play in the prelimenary round of the Euro Cup. This year Steelers Superleague introduces some new players like Maddie Thompson (GB Women, Steelers 2. Division), Harry Brown (GB juniors, invited for the selection camp GB men, Steelers 2. Division) and Joe Caudwell (2.Division).

The team is also supported by Mark Cheaney, ex-paralympian and currently playing in Division 1. Darren Greenfield, new player of the team (transferred from Rhinos) is not allowed to play because of late transfer but will support the team morally in Vienna.

Alltogether 11 players, team manager Vicky Pilkington, mechanic Gary Thompson and a physio therapeut went to Vienna to experience Europe standard of wheelchair basketball.

Steelers played their first two games and lost both of them unfortunately.
